For Whom The Die Rolls

You are in: Home > For Whom The Die Rolls > Railway Rivals |
Railway Rivals can be played on a number of different maps. In the first half of the game, players build railway lines to connect the towns. In the second half they compete for revenue along randomly drawn runs and may continue to expand their network. While the runs they compete for are drawn at random, each destination on the map will turn up twice during the runs. The winner is the player with the best points total at the end of the game.
You can normally enter four of the runs on offer each round. When a run gets no entrants, it is carried forward to the next round (unless it was in the last round!). This can affect the number of runs you can enter:
If 1 run is carried over, then you are still limited to 4 runs. If 2 or 3 are carried over, then you can enter 5 runs. If 4 or 5 are carried over, then you can enter 6 runs. If 6 or 7 are carried over, then you can enter 7, and so on, but the referee may need sorting out if it gets this bad (i.e. the building allowances were too small). In all these cases, you can choose your actual runs from all those available. |
Railway Rivals references are assigned from a central register maintained by Tony Robbins.
Railway Rivals was designed by David Watts and is published by Scene Setters. David continues to provide the trial maps.
