Playing via the Web

As with all games, rules are required. Please read the rules of engagement that cover For Whom The Web Rocks games. The following additional rules apply to these Puerto Rico games.

Puerto Rico games require three to five players.
Please use a subject of Puerto Rico exxx when sending orders (replace the 'xxx' with the game number, e.g. Puerto Rico e999).
You can hover over unsold buildings on the game pages to review the use, cost, and number available.
The player choosing their role should include their orders for the phase.
Once a role has been chosen, all players will be asked to supply their orders for the phase if this is necessary. An e-mail group of all players in the game will be used for this so that everyone is aware of the chosen role, although only those players with decisions to make need respond. This e-mail group will only be used for messages about the game.
To speed up play, these messages should be responded to without waiting to see how others may have reacted. Conditional orders can be provided, based on the actions of players whose turns occur before yours. The game page is not updated until everyone has ordered for the role.
Where players do not have any options in a phase, any actions they can do will be carried out automatically.
Moves made for players by the referee will normally involve actions to improve the player's potential score.
